Game Preview: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
by Gregory Constantine on Oct.24, 2009, under Movie/Game Reviews

November 10, 2009 is gonna be a great day. Why? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Make sure to pre-order that game if you want it that day. Usually most stores just take pre-ordered customers only on the first day.
I’m sure if you are XBOX losers, I mean, users, there will be plenty for you, since no one cares about Microsoft and their stupid products. What? Yea, that’s right.
This game should only be played on Playstation 3 for three reasons:
1. True HDMI 1080p graphics with fiber optic sound.
2. Game controls.
3. Can XBOX say, “Blu-Ray?” Nope. PS3 can.
So make sure to pre-order this game if you haven’t already for PS3. It’ll go quick. I’ll have a full review of this game once I pick it up that day. Actually, I’ll try and have a review up. I might be too busy in the line of duty.
Stitch’s Escape: Ep.4 I Lay Where I Wanna Lay
by Gregory Constantine on Oct.03, 2009, under Stitch's Escape
First off, I apologize for not updating this blog faithfully. It’s been too long. So I’ll be in full force updating this thing.
So we will be starting this off with Stitch’s Escape. This guy is weird, I’m telling you. You gotta meet him someday. Anyway, Stitch will pretty much lie down where ever he pleases. In the photo below, he passes out on top of my desk on top of the audio receiver. Strange. Really strange.

Game Review: Ghostbusters PS3
by Gregory Constantine on Jul.30, 2009, under Movie/Game Reviews

Probably one of the best games I’ve ever played. Great story, the actors returned to do the voices. It’s amazing. If you get a chance, pick it up. I would only recommend this for PS3 though since I’m against XBOX and the one for the Wii looks super cartoony. In fact, stay away from the Wii version all together. Don’t even waste your time with it or money.
Wish the story could go on longer though. It was a fairly short game. Maybe because I was playing it none stop for hours? Probably. Great game though.
On another note, picked up the Blu-ray version of the first Ghostbusters as well. Amazing, truly amazing. Outstanding quality, and the new short documentary on Ecto-1 was awesome. Crystal clear picture.
I gotta start keeping up with this blog. It’s been awhile.

DVD-R vs. DVD+R
by Gregory Constantine on Jul.08, 2009, under Technology
I’m trying to figure out why people even bother using DVD+R’s anymore. Am I missing something? Is it cheaper than DVD-R’s? I really don’t understand this. Why… Why use a product, a DVD+R mind you, when it fails almost every time! Most DVD players, whether its attached to your TV or built into your computer, rarely play DVD+R’s. They just spin and spin and spin, never ever loading. They’ll burn fine, but playback? No.
Anyone else having this problem? (Rhetorical question, don’t answer.) Use the standard people. Stop buying DVD+R’s and purchase a real, will work all the time DVD-R. I can’t stress enough how bad the DVD+R’s suck.
Here is a brief match-up of DVD-R vs. DVD+R:
1) The DVD-R media formats are officially approved by the standards group DVD Forum. The DVD Forum was founded by Mitsubishi, Sony, Hitachi, and Time Warner, so it has tremendous industry support for its technical standards.
2) DVD+R formats are not approved by the DVD Forum standards group.
So there you have it folks, DVD-R media is officially approved by the top manufacturers with tremendous industry support for its technical standards.
STAY AWAY FROM DVD+R! It’s evil!
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Review!
by Gregory Constantine on Jun.26, 2009, under Movie/Game Reviews
It’s clear movies these days are all a matter of opinion. For whatever reason “movie critics” gave this movie a 22% boggles my mind. I’m a huge Michael Bay fan and for me, walking in this movie, I had high expectations. Did the movie deliver? Hell yeah it did! This one blew away the first one by a long mile, and the first one was even great.
I truly have had it with these so called “movie critics.” They don’t even make any sense. They are people, like you and me, who just have their own opinions, but they seem to try and get their stupid message across on whether or not a movie is worth seeing. Personally, I don’t give a rats ass what “movie critics” think. They are always wrong… Plain and simple, if you like Michael Bay movies and you like crap getting blown up, then see this movie. It’s amazing. Don’t listen to these ignorant arrogant morons. “Movie critics” give it a 22%… I give it 100%. Purely opinion there.
So what made this movie so great? Top 10 reasons (no specific order):
1. Action Packed – Non-stop action, everything being blown to bits. Awesome.
2. Sound – The most amazing sound I’ve ever heard in any movie, by far. Awesome.
3. CGI – Robots looked pretty real to me. Would be cool if this really did happen. Awesome.
4. Music – Steve Jablonsky is the man yet again. Just all the timing with the action. Awesome.
5. The Transformers – New characters, same characters, it’s all great. Soundwave? Awesome.
6. Acting – It’s pretty good. You laugh at the smart ass comments. So great. Awesome.
7. Story – I found it to be very interesting. Perfect length as well. Awesome.
8. Director – Michael Bay and his fantastic low angles and creative editing. Awesome.
9. Executive Producer – Steven Spielberg’s name attached to greatness. Awesome.
10. IMAX – Crystal clear picture, and throw all the above in and you got one hellava movie experience.
Awesome.
I just hope Bay takes on the third installment someday. Either way, I am happy with just the two. Thank you Michael Bay for one great movie, and thank you ILM for your superior work once again. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
Here’s the first TV Spot that came out to hype the movie…
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Preview

“Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.” -Optimus Prime
Yea, I know, it’s been a really long time since I last updated this thing. But since the last two posts had a Michael Bay resemblance to it, I think I will just continue with one last post on him before the big day next week.
First, I have my tickets to see the new Transformers at the IMAX. It’s a simple as this, if you don’t see it at the IMAX, you’re not that bright. What is it? A buck more? And you get what out of it? Incredible sound, incredible picture. All the action sequences were shot in the IMAX format. Who wouldn’t want to see that?
Second, I would agree with everyone that the first movie dragged a lot, somewhat good action, most spoiled in the trailers and online clips. Now that the setup is over, I’m pretty sure this next one will be hardcore action right off the bat. I’ve pretty much gone almost dark with this movie (no spoilers). So there should be a lot of surprises for me.
Third, I’m mostly excited for the rumored 60 robots in the movie. Also, excited that the Constructicons are finally making an appearance, as well as the Fallen. Those few Transformers alone are just screaming “blow shit up.” Devastator should be pretty bad ass.
Finally, you can trash Michael Bay all you want, he’s still a genius. If you loved all his other movies, you’ll definitely love this one. He’s 95% action as you all should know. It’s also clear at this point that this is the biggest movie of the year and will blow away every other movie that hits theaters this year.
Slow, Stop, and Stare!
by Gregory Constantine on May.10, 2009, under The Randoms
We’ve all seen this happen and we’ve all done it. Question is, why do we do it?
The other day I was working outside, typical one camera shoot, I was the boom operator. We were interviewing volunteers for a clean up in the mighty Nashua, NH. They were working along side the road, and I swear, every car that drove by, slowed down, almost came to a complete stop, and stared. Eyes were mostly on us, the camera crew.
I mean, most people probably don’t complain about this, but sometimes it’s annoying. It’s like, “Ok, what the hell are you looking at?” It’s just a camera crew shooting people. Not a big production. Nothing important. Don’t look at us, pay attention to the person that’s about to rear-end you. Which comes to my next, oh I don’t know, complaint?
Ever drive on the highway, it’s dead stop traffic, you put the traffic radio on and realize it’s for an accident, 10 MILES UP ON THE OTHER SIDE!? What goes through peoples mind to slow down, come to a complete stop, turn their head left and stare at an accident that we have all seen in our life? If it wasn’t for the 100+ cars in front of you, we would all be on our merry way. I never slow down and look to see what’s going on. Seriously, are you gonna pull over and conduct the investigation? No. Just drive, you’re screwing everything up.
Who wants to bet that the accident was caused by someone slowing down, almost stopping, and staring at someone changing a tire on the other side of the highway. Gotta love them too.
If you don’t want this (see video below) to happen to you, I suggest you just pay attention to what’s in front of you and not on the other side of the road.
The shot that makes Michael Bay.
by Gregory Constantine on May.04, 2009, under Movie/Game Reviews
Michael Bay, the legend on Directing movies. Alongside Bay comes two other talented producers of his movies, Steven Spielberg and Jerry Bruckheimer. Most of you are aware I’m sure of Bay’s movie path.
He demands things to be AWESOME! 100% Action in all of his movies. He loves to blow things up too, and not sure you know this, but there is at least one car chase scene in all of his movies. Once again, awesomeness.
Think of his line of work. You got: Bad Boys (1995), The Rock (1996), Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Bad Boys II (2003), The Island (2005), Transformers (2007), and the most anticipated film of the year, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).
Can anyone guess the similarity between all of these films? Besides the fact there is a ton of action and stuff blowing up? If any of you understand Bay’s work, you will notice a very familiar shot in every one of his movies. To me, I call it “The Michael Bay Shot.” Yeah, I guess that sounds kind of lame, but what are you gonna do?
It’s pretty much expected in all of his movies. As you can see below from the stills, it’s a shot where the camera is on the ground facing up at the actor rotating in slow motion. The most fantastic shot in all of his films. I mean, just look at the shots. Can someone say, “bad ass?” The man is a legend, and this summers blockbuster, Transformers 2, will prove that yet again.

Do what you want ’cause a pirate is free…
by Gregory Constantine on Apr.13, 2009, under The Randoms

What really defines a “pirate?” Seriously, you hear all these stories about “pirates” taking over boats in the ocean, holding them for ransom, yet, they aren’t the pirates we all have grown to love.
I guess there could be all kinds of pirates, but at least dress like them. I mean, come on, you hear the word “pirate” and automatically you’re thinking Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook, and One Eye Willy. You see these other people in the world, taking ships over, using the term “pirate” and you’re thinking, what? Pirate? You serious?
First off, if you’re gonna use the term “pirate” get yourself a huge vessel ye squiffy behsterd. I want to see these guys swinging on ropes, wearing eye patches and swinging swords singing “a pirates life for me.”
I mean, sure, you can have different kinds of pirates, but stick to the clothing code at least. Slur out words like, “ARRRRRR MATEY!” Tap a wooden leg if you must. Show us a hook, even if it’s plastic. Just stick to the code.
Who wouldn’t want this guy to hijack your boat?
